About

Ella runs a general practice in Traditional Chinese Medicine focusing on acupuncture and food energetics. She is a Member of the British Acupuncture Council, the NHS List of Approved Acupuncturists and is an advocate of integrated medicine.

She is part of the acupuncturist team at the Ukraine Project which provides free consultations and treatments to assist refugees and families with trauma recovery.

Her passion for traditional Chinese medicine was inspired by her love of plants and then her investigations into how they could contribute to the solution for antimicrobial resistance and the promotion of natural medicine. Her research into acupuncture and how it could help chronic pain and chronic neck pain led to her decision for a complete mid life career change. Food, which has always been a healing first port of call, and Hippocrates' rudimentary 'let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food" maxim provides the third essential therapeutic practice of food energetics for Ella with this natural medicine, nutrition, beginning at home.

Ella has combined her herbal acupuncture and Yang Sheng lifestyle advice which focuses on food energetics, the cultivation of the mind, spirit and body with work, rest and exercise and living in harmony with the laws of nature, to develop bespoke holistic wellbeing treatment plans for each individual.

Ella further developed her interest in acupuncture which led to post graduate training with John Tindall at the Yuan Centre in Hastings on the use of auricular acupuncture in trauma and addictions acupuncture. She also became an accredited electro acupuncturist following the completion of training under Stephen Lee and moxibustion training with Tony Todd. She set up one of the first Holistic Clinics combining acupuncture, food energetics, electro and moxibustion in the treatment of chronic illness and pain.

After graduating from City College of Acupuncture (CCA) she undertook a internship at the Trauma Acupuncture for adults and children project at the Ukrainian Culture Center in London. She is certified by the NADA practitioners for Acupuncture Without Borders (AWB). She also developed bespoke corporate stress pilot programmes for executives, having worked in international marketing positions in the City of London, Helsinki and Melbourne for thirteen years. Ella has a degree in Finance, Marketing and Business Administration.
